Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sandeep Mittal Vs Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change & Others dated 14/03/2019. The issue for consideration is the monitoring mechanism for compliance of conditions of environment clearance evolved by the Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change (MoEF&CC). The Tribunal had directed MoEF&CC to furnish data in respect of mechanism to periodically monitor the compliance of environmental clearance conditions.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sandeep Mittal Vs Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change & Others dated 10/01/2019. Vide order dated 30.10.2018, the Tribunal had directed the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) to evolve an appropriate institutional mechanism to periodically monitor compliance of Environment Clearance conditions with a view to achieve the real purpose of conducting environment impact assessment and imposing requisite conditions to neutralize any adverse impact on the environment.

Order of the National Green Tribunal Sandeep Mittal Vs. Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change & Others dated 30/10/2018. Grievance in this application is against grant of Environment Clearance by the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Haryana on 12.12.2013 to construct a project in villages – Dhumaspur and Maidawas, District Gurgaon, Haryana on a plot area of 151804.3 square meters. Objection of the applicant is that the construction is on a fertile cultivable land. The project will also result in depletion of ground water level.
