Judgement of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Shiv Singh & Others Vs State of Himachal Pradesh & Others dated 25/04/2018 regarding land acquisition proceedings initiated by the state of Himachal Pradesh for acquisition of the appellants land under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The acquisition was for public purpose, namely, "construction of road from Bus Stand Ruhil to Upper Ruhil via Kuper”.
