NGT also directed the Members of the Nadia District Brick Manufacturers Association to mention about the anti-pollution devices installed in their brick kilns and/or if they had carried out any upgradation of their units for prevention of pollution.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata)  in the matter of Biswanath Maji & Others Vs. Pollution Control Board, West Bengal & Others dated 26/11/2014 regarding waste water pollution by Steel Authority of India Limited in Namapura area, West Bengal.

It is alleged by the villagers of the locality wherein Steel Authority of India Limited is running the unit that the waste water flowing through the slag bank is being discharged and the same is polluting the environment of the locality where villagers do reside.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of International Marwari Association & Others Vs. W.B. P.C. B. & Others dated 09/09/2014 regarding ban on bursting of firecrackers producing sound exceeding 90 decibels at 5 meters and sale of such firecrackers within the state of West Bengal.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Shyamal Basu & Ors. Vs. West Bengal Pollution Control Board & Ors. dated 16/04/2014 regarding regarding a polluting unit of M/s Haldiram Bhujiawala Ltd.- which has been in operation from 2002 to 2010 without any inspection being conducted by the Officers of the Pollution Control Board. The Tribunal noted that the industry was violating the prescribed parameters as well as not
operating in consonance with the rules.
