Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Sanjay Kumar V/s Union of India & Ors. dated 10/11/2014 regarding non-forest activity going on central ridge area of New Delhi. The applicant has approached this Tribunal for protection of the forest area and environment, particularly, in relation to the central ridge area of New Delhi,falling under the jurisdiction of New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC).

The applicant in his case before the Tribunal has said that Sant Sh.Asha Ramji Bapu Trust (Ashram) has illegally constructed an ashram and other pucca and semi pucca constructions in the central ridge area, Karol Bagh, New Delhi. The construction raised in the Central Ridge Area is unauthorized construction and the activity being carried on there is non-forest activity.
