Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding air pollution caused by stone crushing units, Nagaur District, Rajasthan, 26/04/2019
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ganpat Ram Mirdha Vs State of Rajasthan dated 26/04/2019 regarding health effects due to stone crushing units in the villages of Koliya, Naka ke Dhani, Nozalo ke Dhani and Bandolai ke Dhani in Tehsil Didwana, District Nagaur, Rajasthan. The Tribunal had ordered that a proper medical examination be conducted of the villagers who have been effected by air pollution. For that purpose, the NGT had directed the Director Medical Health, state of Rajasthan to constitute a team of atleast three medical doctors from Jaipur, in consultation with the Principal Medical Colleges, Sawai Man Singh Hospital, Jaipur, specially relating to pulmonary disease.
The Tribunal while pointing out that its order of 13/03/2019 has not been compiled with, said it had specifically asked the Director, Medical Health of the state to constitute a team and not the Directorate of Medical, Health & Family Welfare Services. Taking into consideration, the above mentioned facts, the NGT directs the Director Medical Health, state of Rajasthan to present in person before the Tribunal on the next date of hearing.
