Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of National Green Tribunal Bar Association Vs. Dr. Sarvabhoum Bagali (State of Karnataka) dated 11/04/2017 regarding illegal mining at Kurghot and Shirdon, Sholapur, Maharashtra.

Additional Collector, Sholapur submitted before NGT that Shri Laxmi Enterprises and Yashwant Engineering have obtained Environmental Clearance from State Environment Impact Assessment Authority. However, they have not obtained consent of the Board for carrying on the mining activity. They also had no permission from the Collector for carrying on river mining activity by suction pump.
