Order of the National Green Tribunal  (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Bimal Singh Karnawati & Ors Vs West Bengal Pollution Control Board & Ors dated 04/09/2015 regarding an industry operating in a residential area a without having any consent to operate from the PCB though the industry is coming under the red category industry in terms of classification of industries made by the said Board.

It is further alleged that there is emission of fugitive toxic gases viz. carbon monoxide, chlorine hydrochloric acid, dioxin, furans, amines, nitrites etc. due to such illegal operation as mentioned in the pleadings.
