Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of All Dimasa Students Union Dima Hasao Dist. Committee Vs. State of Meghalaya & Ors. dated 23/12/2015 regarding illegal, unscientific, unregulated mining activity being carried on in the state of Meghalaya as well as on transportation of the coal.

There shall be no mining which infact already stands banned as well as there shall be no transportation of the coal whether lying extracted or otherwise. NGT further directed the State of Meghalaya to re-submit the mining guidelines/ Mining Policy to the Ministry of Coal within four weeks.
