Bid to address sex ratio imbalance in the Capital
“Delhi despite being the Capital has one of the worst sex ratios of 866 females per 1,000 males according to 2011 census; the situation in the south-west district is one of the worst with the child sex ratio of 836 girls per 1,000 boys; and with low levels of awareness and nuclear families the aspiration and desire for male child is growing by each passing day,” said a release issued by Centre for Social Research.
