A strong heat wave is sweeping across Chhattisgarh and particularly Raipur which recorded a maximum temperature of 43.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

People remained inside their houses and establishments to avoid the scorching sun rays.They were however relieved for sometime when the sky turned cloudy for sometime. Although it was Sunday, the local residents with plans for shopping and other social activities on weekend preferred staying home.
