As the applause died down at the Moon Palace in the early morning on Saturday bringing the 16th annual climate change conference at Cancun to a close, the sense of achievement over the Cancun Agreements was replaced with a realisation that the road to Durban was going to be a difficult one.

Durban will host the annual UN climate change conference in 2011.
