JHARSUGUDA: Hundreds of villagers locked gates 1 and 2 of Vedanta Aluminium Limited protesting ash emission from the 600 mega watt unit of Independent Power Plant of Sterlite Energy Limited (SEL) on Wednesday.

The unit restarted functioning on Monday.
