Greens get govt push for turtle conservation
Kozhikode: Conservation warriors of the state who have been silently protecting and creating safe havens for endangered turtles and migratory birds will now get a helping hand from the state government for their lone green crusades. Social forestry wing of the state forest and wildlife department has taken the lead in conserving wildlife residing outside the forest and protected areas of the state by empowering and rewarding local village communities and citizen groups through the green partnership programme.
