Expressing concern over the Government’s negligence towards City’s garbage problem, the Karnataka High Court on Tuesday directed the State to identify five more landfill sites to manage the waste generated by Bangalore in the future.

Accepting the BBMP’s submission that it was the State government which had to identify the landfills, the court sought to know why the State was waiting for a request to identify landfill sites.
