COIMBATORE: The common man is feeling the pinch of the recent petrol price hike. The oil marketing companies hiked the price of petrol by Rs. 5 from Saturday midnight.

This is the ninth hike since June 2010, after the Union Government had allowed the companies to revise the price in keeping with the fluctuations in the international market.
