Close co-operation and technical assistance of Japan International Co-operation Agency (Jica) will help improve and strengthen the irrigation system in Punjab which is the backbone of the country because of its importance in providing canal water for crops.

This was stated by General Manager, Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (Pida) Syed Zahid Ali while talking to a Jica delegation heade
