Under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme (MGNREGS), around 1.25 crore mandays employment has been created for over 52 lakh beneficiaries in 54 thousand villages in all districts of Madhya Pradesh. Not only were the jobs provided to the maximum beneficiaries but many important infrastructural development works have also been executed under the scheme.
