LUCKNOW: Allaying fears of farmers that their land would be acquired under the extended master plan, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Thursday said that it would not be the case.

The authority in a statement said that the new 197 villages, which have been incorporated in the master plan would be taken up under various zonal plans and the land use would be defined accordingly.
