Linking of rivers in India and proper use of the water would propel the development engine of the country, said D.Gangappa, Convenor of the Akhila Bharatha Jala Sangama Andolan and former collector of Thanjavur, here on Tuesday.

He told The Hindu that the Andolan has suggested that the Central government link the Ganga and Brahmaputra with the Narmada in Madhya Pradesh at Amarkanteswar.
