The security department of Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) Limited has detected instances of unauthorised laterite stone business and quarrying being carried out in areas under its jurisdiction. According to a press release, the activities being illegal, MSEZL would be forced to take action against such offenders. The Forest department too has warned of strict action against illegal felling of trees.
