Oil leak contained in Sri Lanka's Colombo harbour
Sri Lanka Ports Authority announced that an oil leak occurred in Colombo port was successfully contained.
The Acting Director of Sri Lanka Ports Authority Sampath Kalutharage said that the leak occurred at a pipeline that channeled furnace oil from a ship to the storage complex in Bloemandal area in Colombo.
It is estimated that around five or six barrels of furnace oil leaked into sea water
