Rural Development and Panchayat Raj minister Jagadish Shettar said the State Government has taken strict measures for effective implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

The department suspended 337 officers on charges of dereliction of duty while implementing the scheme and also seized about 12 lakh fake job cards.
