Unknown to the people of Meghalaya, the 130-day old Congress-led Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA) government was, at its inception, given a clear direction by the Congress High Command and the UPA government at the Centre that the contentious issue of uranium mining has to be sorted out sooner than later.
