Solan: With little check on the distribution of water, residents of Garkhal and its surrounding areas near Kasauli have been made to go without water for days together. Though the long dry spell had reduced the water level in the natural sources reducing its availability to almost once a week, it was the lackadaisical attitude of field officials which made matters worse.
