India mostly gets eastward winds. In summer, a low pressure centre forms over north India and north Southeast Asia when the sun heats up the earth. Cold air from the Arabian Sea replaces the hot air from the region. The easterly wind changes direction due to coriallis force (generated by the earth's west-to-east movement) and goes south west. The easterlies is displaced by the wet south westerlies which moves at a much lower level
