On the eve of World Environment Day, Canada High Commission today organised a workshop with a view to encouraging children to think of ways to save the state bird, house sparrow which is slowly diminishing in numbers.

The workshop which the commission jointly oragnised with the ECO Roots, an NGO, saw a participation of more than 100 children between the age of eight and 12 years from various schools based in Delhi and the NCR and from NGOs such as Asha Society and Children of the World.
