Lowest rainfall in over two decades results in drought
LUCKNOW: The state capital finds itself in the grip of drought with rainfall less than 46% below normal in this monsoon so far, lowest in more than twenty years. Though the district administration began preparing its action plan to provide relief to the farmers, the weatherman warned that more tough days are ahead as the monsoon is likely to remain subdued at least for a week in the state.
