CM seeks funds for river project
The Meghalaya government will initiate an integrated basin development and livelihood programme to uplift the lives of people who depend on rivers.
Chief minister Mukul Sangma told the reporters this evening that he had sought Rs 3,000 crore during his recent meeting with Prime Minister to start the project.
The project aims at improving the river basins in the state.
