People's opposition to the setting up of a thermal power project by Sindhya Power at Perunthottam here in Sirkazhi would be represented to the State government. An assurance to this effect was given by Collector T.Munusamy here at the mass contact programme on Wednesday. Over 200 people had handed over their petitions opposing the proposal on the occasion.
