The State government has requested the Indian Council of Medical Research to study the co-relation, if any, between endosulfan and deformity at birth.

M. Madan Gopal, Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, told The Hindu that the genetic impact of the pesticide had to be studied to prove conclusively the link between endosulfan and deformity at birth.
