The matter related to medical and healthcare facilities available for the Endosulfan affected areas of Kasargod.

The counsel representing the victims of Endosulfan (petitioners) submit that there is no grievance with regard to the work which is being rendered by the District Health Authorities in Kasaragod, but the limitation arises due to the absence of proper infrastructural facilities for the treatment of the Endosulfan victims.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Remya P. Vs Dr K M Abraham dated 03/07/2019 regarding compensation for individuals affected by endosulfan. The contempt proceedings have been initiated for non-payment of the compensation of Rupees five lakhs in pursuance of the order of this Court dated 10 January 2017 to four affected individuals, viz., Kumari Archana, Master Afsal, Ms Nisha and Kum Vijayalakshmi.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Democratic Youth Federation of India Vs Union of India & Others regarding endosulfan poisoning in Kerala. Supreme Court of India directs the concerned state governments to release the entire undisbursed payment of compensation, quantified as Rs.5 lakhs each, to all the affected persons, within three months.
