A diphasic anaerobic digester model having an effective volume of 16 litres was studied for treating distillery waste streams.

The laboratory model of Rotating Biological Contractors (RBC) which was used in the present study, is a modified one, in respect of, increased reactor depth, varying depth of submergence of rotating discs and supplemental air supply. Synthetic sago wastewater was used to study the performance of the modified RBC.
