KOLLAM: The Kerala State Electricity Board is incurring a loss of Rs 450 crore per year because of faulty meters. According to a survey conducted by the INTUC-led Kerala Electricity Employees Confederation, the number of faulty meters in the state is around 22 lakh.

KOCHI: Kochi is facing an acute LPG shortage. Back-to-back strikes by a section of employees and contractors have put LPG consumers, particularly Indane users, in a fix. With the house-keeping staff of IOC starting another strike at plants in Kochi, Kollam and Kozhikode the situation has become worse. The strike which started in Kochi on Tuesday extended to two other plants on Wednesday.
