The matter related to the preservation of the eco-sensitive Doon Valley and to prevent its degradation.

Response to report by Akash Vashistha to report dated August 25, 2020 submitted by the District Magistrate, Mathura. The matter related to construction of a metalled road taking place in the river bed of Yamuna in Vrindavan along with other permanent illegal constructions. The road was used to facilitate illegal reclamation of floodplains. The construction of this road was leading to dumping of malba and debris on the ghats (Cheer Ghat, Govind Ghat and Bhramar Ghat). This had caused irreparable damage to the Ghats and obstructing the natural flow of the river.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Akash Vashishtha Vs Union of India & Others dated 05/05/2020 regarding road being illegally constructed on the river bed of Yamuna in Vrindavan - Mathura between Shringarvat and Keshi Ghat and other illegal constructions, including multi-storied buildings, which had come up on the active floodplains and the riverbed of Yamuna in the town of Vrindavan.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Akash Vashishtha Vs Union of India & Others dated 20/12/2019 regarding illegal construction of a road on the river bed of Yamuna in Vrindavan, Mathura between Shringarvat and Keshi Ghat and other illegal constructions including multistoried buildings which have come up on the active floodplains and riverbed of the Yamuna in the town of Vrindavan.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Akash Vashishtha Vs Ministry of Environment and Forests & Climate Change & Others dated 31/01/2018 regarding concretization in River Yamuna in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. The main application has been filed for declaring the activity of construction work of River Front Development and laying of pipeline in river bed and flood plain of River Yamuna as illegal and for restoring of the river bed and flood plain of River Yamuna.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Akash Vashishtha Vs. Union of India & Others dated 21/12/2017 regarding concretization in river Yamuna, Uttar Pradesh. The Applicant Akash Vashishtha contends that the Respondents are doing construction of 4 to 5 feet of concrete wall in the middle of the river taking disadvantage of the permission to carry out the sheet pile work vide order dated 31st May, 2017 and this work will damage the aquatic life of the river.
