Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Digvijay Singh Vs. State of Rajasthan & Ors. dated 02/11/2015 regarding industrial pollution in the District of Barmer, Rajasthan.

NGT in its order asked the State of Rajasthan whether state it is in a position to put check on lawlessness and situation in the district that is likely to arise upon the continuing closure closure of the industries vide para 11 of the affidavit directed the state to file an affidavit explaining her stand in the given situation through secretary, Department of Environment and Forest. 

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Digvijay Singh Vs. State of Rajasthan & Ors. dated 07/08/2015 regarding pollution caused by textile units of Balotra, Bithuja and Jasol of Barmer District, Rajasthan.

The Tribunal also wanted to know whether all members of the CETP Trust not having ETP are shut or not in consequence to the order passed in that regard.

The National Green Tribunal on 1 July 2015 refused to modify its earlier order that asked for closure of 739 polluting textile units in Rajasthan’s Barmer district and sought assistance of Central Ground Water Authority, RIICO and the District Collector as well as the Regional Pollution Control Board to enquire into the matter.
