The Punjab & Haryana High Court on Wednesday adjourned till Monday the case of the land owners who have not accepted the Haryana Government's offer to reconsider the claims of those who have challenged acquisition of over 850 acres of land in Gurgaon.

The Haryana Government on Tuesday told the Punjab & Haryana High Court that it had endorsed the constitution of a high-power committee to consider cases of petitioners on acquisition of land in Gurgaon for various parties which include the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust in Ullahawas village.

GURGAON: The pollution control board of Haryana has issued show-cause notices to the municipal corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), HUDA and HSIIDC, along with 30 other city-based industrial units, for having failed the board's routine pollution check.

GURGAON: HUDA is now wooing more private builders to connect their sewage treatment plants (STP) to its main sewerage line. The tie-ups between HUDA and builders will go a long way in reducing the perennial problem of sewage disposal.

The DLF is the first private builder which has applied for connecting its STP with HUDA's main sewerage line.

Looking to rein in polluters, the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) will soon prohibit industries, offices and residences under its jurisdiction from disposing sewerage water at non-designated places.

Authorities said the move is meant to stop the present practice of sewerage water and other effluents being dumped in green belts and roads across the city.
