Cycle-rickshaw is considered an economical and comfortable medium of transport for the common man in small as well as big cities. But there are 15 districts in the state where cycle-rickshaws are not prevalent either due to geographical conditions or congested population. These include such big cities as Bhopal and Indore and smaller ones like Raisen, Harda, Shajapur etc.

The Madhya Pradesh government has proposed to set up food parks in three districts of the state. Harda district is also in the plan along with Bhopal and Ratlam district where the food parks would be set up.

In order to preserve 25 historical monuments and large temples from the threat of submergence under Narmada Valley Project, they had been relocated and reconstructed in their original form at safer places. In an official release issued here, it has been mentioned that most of these monuments dated 11th, 12th and 16th century BC shifted from the SSP, ISP and OSP reservoir areas. Six monuments affected by OSP reservoir in Khandwa and Dewas districts and 10 monuments affected by ISP reservoir in Khandwa, Harda and Dewas districts had been relocated.

Madhya Pradesh Minister for Health and Family Welfare Shri Ajay Vishnoi has announced a ten time increase in the cash award given to those informing of female foeticide. The reward has been increased from Rs. ten thousand to Rs. one lakh.

In order to improve electricity supply Madhya Pradesh Central Region Power Distribution Company has taken various steps in 16 districts. The company informed that works worth Rs 106 crore are underway at Guna and Ashok Nagar districts, which are being carried out by NECL (NTPC).
