Moves Afoot To Take A Symbolic First Step On Biggest FDI During Korean President

The Union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) has set 15 conditions for Posco-India before going ahead with its steel project near Paradip.

PARADIP: The rehabilitation and periphery development advisory committee (RPDAC) meeting for the Rs 54,000 crore Posco steel plant will be organised in the last week of this month. This was decided at a meeting held earlier this week between the district administration and Posco officials. It was presided over by District Collector Gyanranjan Das.

NEW DELHI: Steel magnate Lakshmi N. Mittal on Thursday ruled out his exit from the proposed Rs. 1-lakh crore steel projects in Jharkhand and Orissa despite facing problems in acquiring land and delays in securing regulatory approvals.
