Union of India & Others dated 03/05/2017 regarding exemption of construction projects from the process of environment impact assessment (EIA) and prior environmental clearance. The Applicant wants MoEF not to grant any concurrence to any bye laws of any state exempting prior environmental clearance till the pendency of this Application.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Anil Kumar Singhal Vs. Union of India & Others dated 19/08/2016 regarding Ganga river pollution, Uttar Pradesh. NGT directs the State of Uttar Pradesh and all its Public Authorities including Jal Nigam, Jal Sansthan and Corporation falling in entire Segment “B” of Phase-I to place composite documents on record showing how they intend to deal with industrial and sewage pollution in this segment.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Protection of Environment & Biodiversity & Others Vs. Union of India & Others dated 07/10/2015 regarding pollution of river Hindon because of industrial discharge, indiscriminate dumping of municipal waste and even sewage.

The Court noted that the chemical and other pollutant contents are of such high density that the foam from the river is moving to the road.
