Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Sukdeo Kolpe & Anr. Vs. M/s. Kopargaon Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. dated 15/09/2015 regarding pollution caused by a sugar factory as a result of discharge of untreated effluents, village Kolpewadi, Kopargaon Taluka , Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra.
The MPCB has given direction to the sugar industry that the crushing activity should not be undertaken till the compliances are duly made and approval of the National Green Tribunal is obtained.
