Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sunaina Singh Vs. D.S.C.L. Sugar, U.P. & Others dated 10/05/2016. Main contention of the Applicant is that there are three borewells from which DSCL Sugar is drawing/extracting water unauthorisedly and illegally. The Counsel appearing for the industry submits that they have already applied to the Central Ground Water Authority for obtaining consent. Application disposed of and in the event of default, they would be liable to pay Rs. 5 Lakh environmental compensation.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Sunaina Singh Vs. Rama Shyama Paper Pvt. Ltd. & Ors. dated 07/05/2015 regarding pollution caused by M/s Rama Shyama Paper Pvt. Ltd., Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.

The Tribunal in its order noted that "tt is evident from the results that unit is not meeting with the stipulated norms of effluent discharge with respect of parameters SS and BOD. Thus poses serious pollution problem in Nakatia Nalla as well as River Ramganga, a tributary of River Ganga."
