Forest fire today broke out at three places in the district, including some areas in the famous Mudumalai sanctuary.

The fire engulfed about 100 acres in Kodappa Mand in North Division of Doddabetta range, destroying 10 thatched and tiled houses but no casualty was reported, forest department sources said.
