According to the original application which was filed before this Tribunal on 16.09.2015, solid waste was being dumped in an open site in Aravali forest. Leachate generated was flowing to the seasonal water bodies contaminating the ground water and polluting the surface water.

Union of India & Others dated 18/01/2018 regarding relocation of the Bandhwari Solid Waste Plant and landfill site away from the forest and Aravali Hill area in time bound manner. The Court's attention has been drawn to the deteriorating situation at the landfill site as per the inspection report of the carried out by the Central Pollution Control Board of the dump site.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vivek Kamboj & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 22/12/2016 regarding leachate from Bandhwari solid waste treatment plant situated on the Gurgaon-Faridabad border.The Counsel appearing for the State of Haryana submits that the financial bid for establishment of Waste to Energy Plant at Gurgaon and Faridabad would be opened on 30th December, 2016 and the contract would be awarded in January, 2017.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vivek Kamboj & Others Vs. Union of India & Others dated 22/01/2016 regarding dumping of waste in Gurgaon, Haryana.

NGT in its order restrained HUDA and Municipal Corporation, Gurgaon from dumping any waste in any green area or, infact, at any place other than the sites identified for dumping of waste. Both these organizations would also show cause why the Environmental Compensation in terms of Section 16 & 17 of National Green Tribunal, Act 2010 be not imposed upon them.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vivek Kamboj & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 28/10/2015 regarding dumping of garbage in Gurgaon and Faridabad, Haryana.

NGT directs the State of Haryana and all the concerned Authorities and Corporations that is Gurgaon and Faridabad to take all steps to ensure proper dumping of waste as well as proper maintenance, collection of the already dumped waste while ensuring it that it does not in any way contaminate the ground water.
