The central bench of the NGT, January 13, 2025 directed the Chairman/Ex-officio/District Collector, Jaipur for monitoring the Eco Sensitive Zone of the Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary and compliance of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) notification to ensure that there should not be any constructions in violation of the environmental rules.

The matter is related to violation of notification issued by MoEF&CC, March 8, 2019 relating to Nahargarh Wildlife Sanctuary range at Arawali ranges at Amer hills, Jaipur district, Rajasthan. The contention of the applicant was that constructions in violation of environmental rules were taking place.
