346 leopards killed in 14 yrs, Himachal changes rules to protect wildlife
Figures are shocking, and alarming too. Nearly 346 leopards have disappeared from the Himachal’s forests, including protected areas, in the last 14 years. At least 171 of them may have died a natural death or due to injuries, but a large number of these were killed by poachers, or by villagers presuming these to be maneaters.
