Kohima: Nagaland is fast advancing with the New Renewable Energy and introduced a 50 Kilo Watt (KW) of energy capacity Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Power Plant the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre (NBRC) in Dimapur, which acquired as an answer to the frequent power shortages that hinders the smooth operation of the Centre.

According to official sources here on Friday, MLA and Adviser to Nagaland Bamboo Develop-ment Agency L Temjen Jamir, formally unveiled the 50 KW capacity power plants on Thursday at the NBRC and the 200 Solar Panels installed at the NBRC with a capacity to generate 150-175 units of energy everyday and would be able to provide full-capacity power backup for three hours flat.
