Bangalore to have water quality index soon
The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board took more than 200 random samples of drinking water in Basaveshwarnagar to test their quality, on Thursday.
The KSPCB chairman Vaman Acharya launched the programme jointly with the Karnataka Environment Laboratories Association to establish a water quality mapping index for the City. Talking to mediapersons Chief Scientific Officer KSPCB Dr B R Balagangadhar said the Board which wants to set a quality index for water, air and noise has begun with water.
