The Centre on Friday gave the go-ahead to the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan scheme, aimed at universalisation of access to and improvement of quality of education at secondary stage. The Union Cabinet on Friday allocated Rs 20,120 crores for the scheme in the 11th Five-Year Plan.
