Shocked over the decision to import 2 million tonnes of rice, farmers said while the Centre was ready to give high price for the rice to be imported from abroad, it was not ready to give drought relief and adequate bonus to Punjab farmers, who would contribute more than 85 lakh tonnes of rice in the national pool.
