The Jilla Paristhithi Samithi, a forum of environmentalists, has demanded an immediate stop to the ship-breaking activities of Steel Industries Kerala Ltd. (SILK) at Azhikkal here.

The activities, the Samithi alleged in a press release, were being carried out in violation of all norms.
